Roots & Rise Career & Digital Pathways helps youth and young adults ages 16 to 24 explore career options, prepare for work, build digital skills, pursue training, and move toward education, certifications, and employment.

Who this program is for

Youth and young adults ages 16 to 24 living in Clarksdale, Coahoma County, or nearby Mississippi Delta communities who are interested in career guidance, job readiness, GED navigation, digital training, credentials, or education planning.

• IT, technology, and certification exposure

• Career speakers, workplace exposure, and employer connections

Digital Promotion Bootcamp

Digital Promotion Bootcamp is a possible cohort within Roots & Rise Career & Digital Pathways. Cohort topics may include digital marketing, social media strategy, Canva, content creation, basic websites, digital tools, and professional presentation skills.

Opportunity Fund support

Eligible participants may be considered for help with approved barriers such as certification fees, training costs, work gear, program materials, transportation needs, or other costs directly connected to their education or career plan. Support depends on available funding and written eligibility guidelines.

What participants can expect

Participants can expect practical support, clear expectations, confidentiality around personal information, and honest communication about what is available. Participation in a workshop or cohort does not guarantee a job, certification, stipend, laptop, or financial assistance.
