Donation Policy

Grounded & Divine Foundation Donation Policy

Grounded & Divine Foundation values the generosity and trust of every donor. This Donation Policy explains how donations made to our organization are handled.

1. Use of Donations

Donations made to Grounded & Divine Foundation support our charitable mission, programs, operations, and community initiatives. Contributions may be used where they are needed most unless the donor clearly designates a specific approved purpose or campaign.

The Foundation reserves the right to use donated funds in a manner that best supports its mission and current program needs. If a restricted project becomes fully funded, unavailable, or no longer practical, the Foundation may redirect the funds to a similar purpose that aligns with donor intent and organizational priorities.

2. Tax-Deductible Contributions

Grounded & Divine Foundation intends for donations to be tax-deductible to the fullest extent permitted by law once federal tax-exempt status is confirmed. Donors should consult their tax advisor regarding the deductibility of their contributions.

If the organization’s 501(c)(3) application is still pending at the time of donation, the Foundation should not state that contributions are currently tax-deductible unless and until such status has been officially recognized.

3. Donation Receipts

Donors will receive a written or electronic acknowledgment for their contribution when required by law or when appropriate for recordkeeping purposes. Donation receipts will generally include:

  • the name of the organization,

  • the date of the contribution,

  • the amount of any cash donation, or a description of any non-cash contribution,

  • and a statement regarding whether any goods or services were provided in exchange for the contribution.

If goods or services are provided in connection with a donation, the acknowledgment will include a good-faith estimate of their value as required by applicable law.

4. Refund Policy

Grounded & Divine Foundation treats all donations as final and does not generally provide refunds.

Refunds may be considered only in limited circumstances, including:

  • duplicate transactions,

  • unauthorized transactions,

  • processing errors,

  • or other exceptional situations reviewed at the Foundation’s discretion.

Refund requests must be made within 14 days of the donation date and should include the donor’s full name, donation amount, date of donation, and a brief explanation of the request.

5. Restricted Donations

The Foundation may accept donations designated for a particular program, project, or campaign when such restrictions are consistent with its mission and current operations.

The Foundation reserves the right to decline restricted gifts that:

  • are not aligned with its mission,

  • create an undue administrative burden,

  • or cannot be used as requested.

If a restricted purpose cannot be completed or no longer exists, the Foundation may redirect the donation to a comparable charitable purpose consistent with the original intent of the gift.

6. Online Donations

Online donations may be processed through third-party fundraising or payment platforms. By making an online donation, the donor understands that payment processing may be subject to the terms, privacy practices, and security procedures of the third-party platform used.

Grounded & Divine Foundation is not responsible for technical issues, processing interruptions, or external platform errors beyond its control, but will make reasonable efforts to help resolve donation-related concerns.

7. Privacy of Donor Information

Grounded & Divine Foundation respects donor privacy. Donor information collected through donations will be used for donation processing, acknowledgments, recordkeeping, legal compliance, and communication related to the Foundation’s mission.

The Foundation does not sell donor information. Donor information may be shared only with service providers or platforms necessary to process donations or as required by law.

For more information, please review our Privacy Policy.

8. Donation Acknowledgment and Communication

By making a donation, a donor may receive follow-up communications such as:

  • confirmation of the gift,

  • tax receipt or acknowledgment,

  • impact updates,

  • future fundraising appeals,

  • or organization news.

Donors may request to limit or opt out of non-required communications at any time.

9. Non-Cash Donations

The Foundation may accept certain non-cash gifts, including goods or in-kind donations, when those items are useful to its programs or operations.

The Foundation reserves the right to decline donated items that:

  • cannot be used,

  • are unsafe or unsuitable,

  • create storage or administrative challenges,

  • or do not support the mission.

The Foundation does not assign a monetary value to non-cash donations for the donor’s tax purposes. Donors are responsible for obtaining any valuation or tax advice they may need.
